Winery

We make our wine in a canava in Messaria, the cave winery Santorini has always used. The grapes are the island's own indigenous varieties, Assyrtiko first among them. All of our vines are ungrafted.

Mendrinos & Kafouros

Our families have tended vines here since the nineteenth century. The first wine was made in 1922, and we are now the fifth generation, doing what we were taught.

Our vineyards & wines

Our vineyards lie between Vourvoulos and Vothonas. The vines are trained in kouloura, each one coiled into a low basket that holds the fruit inside, out of the wind.
